Whether you are cutting edge or traditional in your church model we all deal on some level with technology. How do you determine whether or not you have the right “tools”? What about the right people? Where are you now and where are you headed? How do you create an experiential worship service and use technology most effectively without it getting in the way? We will be talking about staffing - Finding and developing the right people. Audio/Video/Lighting - With all the choices available what do all the different options mean and what do I really need? Creative Process - Now that I have the people and the tools, how can I best use them? Strategy - Where am I now and where am I going? How can technology help me get there?
Mike Walker
Formerly with Fellowship Church where he produced weekly services hosting over 21,000 people. He recently expanded his role with Fellowship Church to include being the Media Director of Ed Young Ministries, a world-wide television program viewed on 14 networks including the USA network and 4 international networks. Leading the Ed Young Ministries team through a tremendous growth rate in one year, mike focused on strategic planning through strengthening the donor development program. Mike began his career with such events as Celebrate Freedom – an annual summer concert that features some of the top names in Christian music. Mike has been interviewed by Church Production Magazine and Technologies for Worship for his insight in to production technologies for large-scale worship, however mike will tell you that “tech is just a tool” and that his real passion is in developing teams, creating the experiences and turning dreams into reality.
